Meet Our Pastor

Rev. Christo F. Heiberg

Born in the Limpopo Province of South Africa in 1962.

Descended from Danish, German and Dutch-Afrikaner stock.

Raised in a Christian home, with two siblings, by wonderful loving parents.

Graduate from High School in 1980.

Complete two years of National Service and work for the South African Reserve Bank from 1981-1985.

Saved by God’s grace in the South African summer of 1982!

Receive a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pretoria in 1986.

Receive a Bachelor of Divinity from the University of Pretoria in 1988.

Married to Margherita Raimondi in 1988.

Blessed by God with four lovely children, born between 1991 and 2004.

Serve the Dutch Reformed Church of Rant-en-Dal from 1989-1994.

Serve the Free Reformed Church of Johannesburg from 1995-2000.

Receive a Masters of  Theology (Homiletics) from the Theological University of the GKN (Vrijgemaakt) in 2000.

Emigrate to Canada in 2001.

Serving as minister of Zion URC from March 2001 till the present.

Become citizens of our new country Canada in 2006.
